In the rush of Navi Mumbai life, we often lose our rhythm. At Green Tara, we’ve created a refuge designed to quiet the external chatter. We intend to be more than just a yoga studio, a sanctuary where every breath helps you discover your inner peace and every movement builds the strength to protect it. Inspired by the Buddhist Goddess of Compassion, Green Tara stands for values of compassion and ahimsa, not only to others but also yourself. By being there for others, we often forget that we also need to handle ourselves with deep compassion and care. Let this be a chance to reconnect with you, just like a warm hug of coming home to yourself!

Hi, my name is Kanishka Kuniyal and I am a yoga teacher and practitioner. Yoga came into my life at an unexpected time in my life and it was in London, where I was living as a 17 year old student, I fell in love with yoga. However, a deep sadness came over me when I realised how in the West, yoga is so enthusiastically practiced but in India, the motherland of yoga, it is slowly being forgotten. I went to Bali in 2024 and Rishikesh in 2025 and learned Yoga and meditation from my teachers who I will forever be grateful for. My two yoga alliance certifications are from Bali (200 hours) and Rishikesh (300 hours). In addition, I also have a yoga alliance certification in sound healing. When I came back to my home town in Uttarakhand, I also started a NGO project where I would teach yoga and meditation to children for free, in effort to spread the values of yoga. At Green Tara, I do not want to just build a brand but a community where yoga becomes a part of the culture and we live happy, healthy, mindful, and ultimately beautiful lives. Not only that, a small percentage of the studio earnings will go into non-profit orgs every year. I welcome you to Green Tara and hope you have a transformative time practising here!
